ESI Registration for Employers

ESI registration is mandatory for eligible establishments under the Employee State Insurance Act, 1948.

Who Needs to Register?

  • Establishments with 10 or more employees (in most states)
  • Employees earning up to ₹21,000 per month are covered
  • Some states have different thresholds
  • Once registered, registration continues even if employee count falls

Registration Process

  1. Visit the ESIC portal
  2. Click on "Employer Registration"
  3. Fill in establishment details
  4. Upload required documents
  5. Submit application
  6. Receive registration certificate and code number
